Join fellow Wildcats for the 2026 K-State Homecoming 5K! Whether you participate in person or virtually, you'll celebrate Homecoming while supporting a great cause.

Benefiting Flint Hills Breadbasket

This year's Homecoming 5K supports Flint Hills Breadbasket, the primary food assistance organization serving Manhattan, Riley County, St. George, and Fort Riley. Since the early 1980s, Flint Hills Breadbasket has provided free, healthy food, connected neighbors with community resources, and worked to reduce food insecurity throughout the region.

Thank you for helping K-State continue its tradition of giving back to the community.

 
Registration Fee

$30 per participant

Discount: Current K-State Alumni Association members and K-State students receive a $5 discount.

Please note: The discount is applied during registration (approximately three screens into the process). You will need your Alumni Association member number or your K-State eID.

Registration Reminders

T-shirt guaranteed for registrations completed by September 23 at 12:00 p.m. 
Registration and shipping fees are non-refundable. 
 

In-Person 5K

Race Time: 9:00 a.m.
Date: Sunday, October 11
Location: K-State Alumni Center

Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each category:

• Non-student Male
• Non-student Female
• Student Male
• Student Female

Student group competition participants must participate in person.

Packet Pick-Up

Non-student participants and students not competing in the group competition may pick up race packets:

Friday, October 9: 2:00–5:00 p.m. 
Sunday, October 11: 8:00–8:30 a.m. 
Both packet pickup times are at the K-State Alumni Center.

Virtual 5K

The virtual option is available for non-students and students not participating in the group competition.

Complete your 3.1-mile walk, jog, or run anytime between:

Sunday, October 4 – Sunday, October 11 (12:00 p.m.)

Register online or by calling 785-532-6260.

Virtual participants should submit their race time by 12:00 p.m. on October 11. Virtual results will be compiled separately from the in-person race. No awards are given for the virtual event.

Virtual Race Packets

Participants who select shipping will have packets mailed during the week of October 5.

If you choose not to have your packet shipped, it must be picked up at the K-State Alumni Center:
