Fast Food Drive 5K

Super-unique awards will be given out to the fastest male and female finishers, the fastest masters male and female finishers, and the top male and female finishers in each of the age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+.

There will also be awards for the top male and female food donor.

Packet pickup will be on Friday, August 12, from 2-6pm at the KC Running Company store at 200 E. 135th Street in Kansas City, MO and on race morning beginning an hour before the race.

Contributions and a portion of the registration fees will benefit Harvesters and other local food pantries. To learn more about Harvesters, The Community Food Network, and how you can get involved, go to www.harvesters.org

Team up with The Year I Got The Runs to make this The Year We Ran To Beat Hunger. Bring a food donation to packet pickup or the race to be entered to win a gift card ranging from $5 to $50! A selection of your donations will be added to the shopping cart (provided by Ball’s Food Stores) that race organizer, Jason Silvers will be pushing around the racecourse, then all items will be donated to local food pantries after the race. 

Food:

• Canned vegetables (low sodium)
• Canned fruits in 100% juice
• Dried fruit (no added sugar preferred)
• Canned chicken, tuna, salmon (packed in water)
• Brown rice
• Whole grain pasta
• Dried beans or canned low sodium beans
• Peanut, almond, or sun butter
• Canned soup (chicken, tomato or vegetable)
• Cereal – hot and cold (whole grain, low sugar preferred)

Household Products:

• Soap
• Deodorant
• Shampoo
• Toilet Paper
