Description
Join us for this inaugural event on the Flint Hills Trail in Ottawa, Kansas, on August 30! Starting from downtown Ottawa, the race features an out and back half marathon and 5K course to the northwest on the Flint Hills Trail. There will be hydration stations and mile markers along the course and all participants will receive a custom finishers medal and can purchase a race shirt for an additional fee. The number of registrants will be limited for this event and we ask all half marathon participants to finish in no longer than 3 hours and 5 minutes (approximately 14 minutes per mile)..

Packet pickup
Packet pickup will be on Friday, August 29 from 3pm - 6pm at the Running Well Store in Mission, KS. Packets can also be picked up on race day at the race site from 7:00-7:30am.
Awards
Top male, female and top masters male and female finishers in each event will receive awards, together with the top three males and females in each of the following age groups:
19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.

Race Day Parking
There is quite a bit of parking in Downtown Ottawa near the starting line at third and Main Street in Ottawa.
Course Logistics
There will be a water station at the 5K turnaround and there will be water and Gatorade along the half marathon course every couple of miles. There will be porta potties at the start/finish and at two other spots on the course. There will be Gu energy gels at three of the water stations.
