Description

Win a new pair of running shoes (valued up to $125) or one of two $50 Gary Gribble's Running Sports gift certificates. The Knights of Columbus Family 5K helps replace funds normally raised through monthly breakfasts that have been cancelled due to COVID-19. Knights of Columbus Council 534 raises money for such causes as Coats for Kids, Special Olympics, world causes including hurricane relief, the Blessed Brian Home for orphans and more. We invite all runners, parishioners and families to walk or run a 5K even if you split the 3.1-mile distance over several days. The .8-mile paved fitness loop trail at Shawnee North Community park is a great place for your 5K as four laps of the trail is 3.2 miles.

Our event is set for the weekend of Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 1. On Oct. 31, Knights of Columbus founder the Venerable Fr. Michael J. McGivney, will be beatified as a saint. On Nov. 1, the church celebrates All Saints Day, when we commemorate all saints who lived exemplary lives on earth and have attained heaven.
