KMUW’s inaugural 5K run/walk is a flat and scenic course through Old Town, Downtown and Delano neighborhoods, culminating in an after party at the Great Plains Transportation Museum, on the bridge overlooking Douglas. With one of Wichita’s largest active running clubs, KMUW is celebrating running and walking and the community connections that are a result of getting out and getting healthy.
The race is a chip-timed event, with aid-stations and plenty of amenities for participants. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal and commemorative KMUW 5K t-shirt. It’s a great race for a personal record, or to see Wichita’s central city from a new angle.
(Online registration closes Thursday, May 18th at midnight. Registration at packet pickup is available, Friday, May 18th, from 2-6 pm at KMUW, 121 N Mead, Suite 200.)
