Shocker Ruck

Share the burden is a 1.25 mile ruck event that involves military/veteran members of WSU’s student population and any students, faculty or other individuals who wish to participate. Its purpose is to raise awareness of veteran’s issues as well as an opportunity to network with various veteran organizations and businesses who support the Veteran’s Center here at Wichita State University. An additional goal is to educate and inform individuals who may be unaware of what services are available to current military, veterans or their families as well as to show our support for them and the sacrifices that they have made for us and our country. The ruck will occur Nov. 4th 2017 and make one loop around WSU’s Perimeter Road. Participants are encouraged to wear packs during the event but it is not required.
