Thank you so much for offering your support to our fundraiser. Unfortunately, we need to cancel this event due to lack of participation. We plan to reconvene the committee, share our lessons, and create a new way forward. We appreciate your understanding and welcome any feedback or concerns.

Saturday, October 22
25 Teams of 4 Members will embark on a challenging expedition around Central Riverside Park competing in a series of timed events at each destination. Only upon completion of the task will Teams receive the clue that will lead them to their next location. The winning Team will be awarded a prize package including cash and items. An additional prize is awarded to the Team who raises the most money for the event.
Open to RACERS 16 years and up. Signed waivers will be required of all participants.
All proceeds benefit StepStone, Inc. a not-for-profit organization that responds to the critical needs of survivors of domestic violence and their children. StepStone offers transitional housing, counseling services, advocacy, and support services.

FAQ
Q: HOW MUCH RUNNING IS INVOLVED?
A: We designed the race so anyone can compete, and limited running will be required! We did that by creating ten (10) team-building Challenges combined with nine (9) riddle Clues that will need to be solved to find the next challenge. Each challenge is timed and the Team with the smallest overall time wins. There will be tie-breaker activities if required.
Q: IS THE RACE MORE PHYSICAL OR MENTALLY CHALLENGING?
A: The Challenges will be successfully completed by well-executed teamwork and are more mental than physical.
Q: WILL THERE BE PRIZES?
A: The Team that has the least overall time for completing all the Challenges will win the Grand Prize. There will also be prizes awarded to the winning Team of each Challenge. Plus! All Teams are encouraged to compete in the fundraising challenge for the chance to win the prize for the most money raised.
Q: HOW LONG DOES THIS EVENT RUN AND WHAT DOES SOLVING THE PUZZLES INVOLVE?
A: The RACE is limited to three (3) hours. The Challenges will be at Central Riverside Park or within one (1) mile of the park.
Q: WHERE AND WHEN IS THE TEAM CHECK-IN ON THE DAY OF THE RACE?
A: The Check-in Table will be located near the large parking off Nims street. Parking is available in this lot, or along Stackman Drive.
Q: WILL LUNCH BE SERVED AFTER THE RACE?
A: We are providing lunch to all contestants and volunteers while scores are being tabulated.

RACE Rules
- Four (4) members per Team. 25 Teams maximum allowed. No individual runners.
- A signed waiver and emergency contact information is required for each Team member.
- Each Team Captain and Team Member should set up a Runsignup Profile.
- Teams and Team members are encouraged to set a personal fundraising gold. A prize will be awarded to the Team who raises the most money.
- Team members' fundraising will be counted in their overall Team amount.
- Teams will receive an event tee shirt for each member in their RACE packet. Failure to wear shirts or bib numbers could result in disqualification for the Team.
- Each Team member must wear their event tee shirt and bib number on the day of the RACE.
- Teams are encouraged to dress in costumes such as headgear, socks, sunglasses, necklaces, etc. as long as the costuming does not hide the event tee shirt or bib number.
- RACE packets will be distributed on Monday and Tuesday, October 17-18 between 3-5 PM at Dear Neighbor Ministries, 1329 S. Bluffview, Wichita, KS 67218. Packets can not be mailed. NO PACKETS WILL BE GIVEN OUT ON RACE DAY.
- The Race has ten (10) Challenges, and nine (9) will be timed.
- The first Clue will be provided as a freebie to each Team.
- The official Timekeeper will tell Teams when to open their Clue and begin the timer.
- Only after the Challenge has been successfully completed will the Teams receive their next Clue. The Challenge Site Judge will determine if the task has been completed successfully.
- Clues will lead the Teams to each undisclosed location.
- If Teams get stuck on a particular Clue they may buy one (1) of three (3) available Rescues from the Challenge Site Coordinator.
- Teams may not assist other Teams to decipher their Clues. And no Team alliances will be allowed. Teams who do not follow the rules will be disqualified.
- After three (3) hours all Challenges end, even if they have not been successfully completed. Teams should then return to Central Riverside Park for lunch
- Challenge Site times will be tabulated, and the Team with the least combined time will win the grand prize. Fundraising goals will be tabulated and the Team who raised the most money will receive their prize.
- If Teams are tied for either event, official Judges will use the tiebreakers to determine the winner.
