There is no Spoonbread Festival 5K planned for 2024.
Lace up your running shoes and plan to join us at the 27th annual Spoonbread Festival 5K Run/Walk!
Join the fun on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 8:00am with start/finish at the Berea Community High School in Berea.
RACE FEATURES
- Flat, paved course on the Berea City Trail
- 5K run/walk, 1 mile untimed walk and virtual option
- Commemorative soft, poly/cotton unisex sized race shirts
- Chip timing (Thanks RaceRise) with Overall & AG Awards (5 year divisions)
- Free race photos
- Music, food, fun & fellowship
Our 2023 race will benefit the Berea Chamber of Commerce which sponsors the annual Spoonbread Festival.
PACKET PICKUP We'll hold our race packet pickup on race morning (Saturday, 9/9/23) from 6:45-8am behind the Berea Community High School near the football stadium.

2023 Berea Spoonbread Festival
The 2023 Berea Spoonbread Festival offers 3 days (Friday, September 15th through Sunday, September 17th) of affordable family fun!
The Spoonbread Festival which is sponsored by the Berea Chamber of Commerce, began in 1997 and has grown to attract 50,000+ attendees in its most recent year. The festival annual draws visitors from 30+ states and 60+ Kentucky counties. With nearly 200 vendors and a packed schedule of events, the festival offers something for everyone. Race Beneficiary - Berea Chamber of Commerce -- Working Together For A Better Berea
Our race will benefit the Berea Chamber of Commerce.
The Berea Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, membership driven organization with a rich heritage and has served as a catalyst for community and economic development in Berea and Madison County for nearly six decades. Founded in 1950 by leaders of Berea’s business community, the Berea Chamber of Commerce, as most fledgling organizations, operated for approximately three decades as a group of community minded volunteers that worked to promote the area, strengthen existing businesses, and create new jobs. More recently, the Chamber has experienced tremendous growth in membership, hired a full-time director and support staff and is now focused on addressing the many challenges associated with being in one of the fastest growing counties in Kentucky. As the voice of Berea’s business community, we have strength in numbers and are able to speak to the unique needs of business and industry on the local, state and national levels.
Today, we continue our efforts to promote prosperity and enhance the quality of life in the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky by:
- Supporting current businesses
- Encouraging new business development.
- Enhancing communication and collaboration
- Promoting Berea as a place to live and work
We look to the future with great hope for our community and are actively seeking opportunities to partner with other organizations having similar goals. At the same time, we are very much aware of the ever changing global economy, realizing that change is inevitable.
