Race Back to the FAC-5k

This 5k race is designed to Celebrate opening day at the Florence, KY Aquatic Center (FAC). As the FAC has been closed for 2 years, we are eager to “Race Back to the FAC”! 

Race Route starts in front of the Florence Aquatic Center and loops around the Florence Government Center properties wide paved walking/running paths that route past the skate park, grassy fields, Aquatic Center and Veteran’s Memorial.

Race Purpose: All proceeds will be used to sponsor aquatic center swim lessons, memberships and day passes for the deserving of the Florence and surrounding community. Please join the Race Back to the FAC to support this worthy cause! 

Event Date: Saturday, May 28, 2022
Start time: 8:30am
Packet Pick up: Starting at 7:30am at the Check in desk in Front of the Aquatic Center.

Location: Florence Aquatic Center 8200 Ewing Blvd, Florence, KY 41042
Parking: Florence Aquatic Center Parking lot open until 8:10am. Please arrive before 8:10am.

Cost:
$25 per entry.

Shirts:
$5 for Race T-Shirt for entries submitted by May 13th.

Race day T-shirt’s will be $10 (quantities are very limited)

Awards: Top Male and Female finishers, Elementary (K-5) age Boy and Girl, Middle School (6-8 grade) Male and Female, High School Male and Female. 
M and F Adult Age Groups 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-100.

All participants will receive a single day pass to the Florence Aquatic Center ($10 value) upon return of their Brunning Endurance Company race chip timer.

Food Trucks on-site for after race refreshments. 

Florence Aquatic Center Opens at 11am and features a zero depth wading pool, Lap Pool with two 1m diving boards, Relaxing Lazy River, Pirate Slide for Infants/Toddlers, Octopus Slide for 46” and under, Tower Slide for 46” and up, and Speed Slide for 60” and up.
Lounge in the sun or pool umbrella’s shade. Concession food available for purchase.
