Description
GENERAL INFORMATION
This is a "choose your own distance" open water swim intended for USMS and USAT athletes. It is a sanctioned USAT clinic and USMS-supervised practice.
Held at the beautiful Queenslake horse farm in Scott County, this 15-acre spring-fed lake is a perfect open water venue.
The swim itself will be on a 750-meter course. It will be an in-water mass start with slap-finish on a finish gate typical of international open water events. The race will be chip-timed with chips affixed to the wrists. Athletes may complete as many laps on the course as they wish.
This swim follows a USA Swimming kids' race which is expected to wrap up shortly before 6:00p. We will start the USMS/USAT swim as soon as possible following that. Due to a 7:45p sunset, no new lap may be begun after 7:25p.
