Oakdale 100 Centennial Challenge

Oakdale Christian Academy was founded in 1921 to serve youth in an underserved area of Breathitt County, Kentucky, a rural area without roads or access to schools. Oakdale began providing boarding services for students who faced an unmanageable daily traverse across the mountains.

In time, the boarding program attracted students outside the local area who benefited from a personalized and structured approach to discipleship and education. Years later, by the time county roads made it possible for local students to attend public schools, Oakdale had established itself as offering a boarding school outreach to families from across the U.S. as well as locally.

As we continue to strive to connect with friends of Oakdale Christian Academy we have created what we are calling the Oakdale 100 Centennial Challenge to build awareness of Oakdale across the globe.
