Join us at the third edition of the Bluegrass Mile to channel your inner equine and race eight furlongs on a smooth, packed surface. The Bluegrass Mile provides runners of all abilities a unique opportunity to cover 5,280 feet on the dirt track at Red Mile. Whether you're looking for a competitive mile or a community walk, runners of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to join us for an evening on the track. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top finisher in each age group.
Multiple heats for the mile race allow runners of all abilities and ages to participate in the event. Whether a new runner looking for a first race, a seasoned runner looking for a tune up for Fall races or a competitive runner interested in the unique opportunity to race on the horse track, the Bluegrass Mile has something to offer all participants. Proceeds will benefit local charities, which will be named later.
This is a unique opportunity to race around the track at Red Mile. We're unable to allow strollers or dogs for this race.
