Sadly we have chosen to postpone the Bluegrass Mile due to the current forecast which will ultimately make for poor and unsafe race conditions. We are working to finalize a date in the Spring. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Channel your inner equine: Race eight furlongs on a smooth, packed surface.
The fourth annual edition of the Bluegrass Mile provides runners of all abilities a unique opportunity to cover 5,280 feet on the dirt track at Red Mile. Whether you're looking for a competitive mile or a community walk, all are welcome to join us for an evening on the track.

Multiple heats for the mile race allow runners of all abilities to participate in the event (1 Elite, 3 Open). Whether you're a first-time racer, a seasoned runner looking for a tune-up, or a competitive runner interested in the unique opportunity to race on a horse track, the Bluegrass Mile offers something for everyone. Take advantage of the New Balance, On, and Diadora demo shoes available and run an additional mile or two. You may find your next pair of running shoes!
Want to run as a team? Enter the Trifecta Relay race! Teams of three will compete, with each team member running 1/3 of a mile (1760 ft). Look for designated exchange areas to tag your team members.
Do you think your restaurant has the best waiters and waitresses in Lexington? Enter your speediest server into the Fastest Restaurant in Town! Fastest server wins a "Fastest Restaurant in Town" Plaque.

Bluegrass Mile 2
Bluegrass Mile 3
Trifecta Relay
This is a unique opportunity to race around the track at Red Mile. We're unable to allow strollers or dogs for this race.
