Join us for the BreyerFest Bash Dash 5K Run/Walk
Hosted by our partners at Race Rise and Central Kentucky Race Management, this exciting event offers both an in-person and virtual race experience—so you can participate no matter where you are!

Location: Kentucky Horse Park (KHP), Lexington, KY
Virtual Option: Complete your race anytime, anywhere!
Swag: Finisher’s Medal & Commemorative T-Shirt for all participants who register by the deadline on RunSignUp.com
Prizes: Runners who complete the in-person race at KHP will be eligible for top awards from Breyer!

Age Categories & Prizes
🏅 Top TWO overall finishers in each gender category will receive the party-ready Jewels model, a Traditional (1:9) scale model!
🏅 Top TWO finishers in each age category for each gender will each receive one randomly selected Breyer model – either Red Velvet or Neapolitan!
Participants will compete within the following age groups for awards:
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Above
Kid’s Dash – Special Race for Young Runners!
For our youngest runners, we’re offering a ¼ mile Kid’s Dash for children 8 and under, taking place right before the 5K kicks off! The Top 6 finishers will receive special prizes, making this a fun and energy-boosting way to start the race!

Supporting a Great Cause – Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement
A portion of the proceeds from the BreyerFest Bash Dash 5K will benefit Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement, a non-profit farm in Georgetown, KY, dedicated to caring for retired racehorses. Home to over 250 retired Thoroughbreds, Old Friends offers fans a unique opportunity to meet legendary horses like Silver Charm, Game on Dude, and Patch while promoting education and aftercare awareness.
Visitors can tour Old Friends Thursday - Sunday with advance reservations. Book online at www.oldfriendsequine.org.

Overall Awards
Our Top 2 finishers in each gender category will receive the party-ready Jewels model, a Traditional (1:9) scale model. The iconic Fighting Stallion mold was sculpted by Chris Hess and has been in the Breyer lineup since 1961.
This model is the mold’s first edition with a rainbow coat and we are excited to offer this piece of Breyer history to our overall winners of this year’s 5K!

Age Group Awards
What is better when celebrating a birthday than cake and ice cream? The top 2 finishers in the below age groups in each gender category will each receive one randomly selected model – either Red Velvet or Neapolitan!
Both are Breyer Freedom Series (1:12) scale and are the perfect way to celebrate your finish! Age group awards are based on chip time (Elapsed time from when a runner crosses the starting line mat to when he/she crosses the finish mat).

Charity Beneficiary - Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement
Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farms
A portion of proceeds will benefit Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement (www.oldfriendsequine.org) Founded in 2003 by former Boston Globe film critic Michael Blowen, Old Friends is a Thoroughbred Retirement Facility in Georgetown, KY that now cares for more than 250 horses whose racing and breeding careers came to an end. A “living history museum of horse racing”, the farm attracts nearly 20,000 tourists annually that get up close and personal with such stars of the turf as 1997 Kentucky Derby winner Silver Charm, three-time Santa Anita Handicap victor Game on Dude, Belmont Stakes winners Birdstone, Touch Gold, and Sarava, and one-time Kentucky Derby contender Patch. By promoting these one-time celebrated horses through a campaign of education and tourism, Old Friends aims to draw attention to the need for widespread Thoroughbred aftercare. The farm is open to the public for tours Thursday - Sunday. Reservations are required. Book online at www.oldfriendsequine.org
Course Map - 5K
Our BreyerFest 5K route will start and finish from the same location in the parking lot west of Alltech Arena. The route is a 1.55 mile out and back configuration with 3 turns along the way. There will be a water stop that runners will pass by twice. The entire course is on paved roadway surface. Total elevation of the course is 177 feet.
