What is the Beer Mile you ask? It's pretty much exactly what is sounds like. You'll drink four beers as you run four quarter mile laps. When the starting gun sounds, you'll chug your beer, hold the empty cup upside down over your head (to prove you drank it all) then run a quarter mile lap. Once that lap is complete you'll chug another beer and take off again. Rinse and repeat until you've drank four beers and ran four laps!

This Beer Mile is going to be a little unique so we want to be clear about that upfront. Normally you'd be drinking from a glass bottle, but in this case you'll be drinking from comemerative plastic cups. You'll also be running around a public space on National Avenue instead of a track. We will have volunteers directing traffic and making sure everybody stays safe. Please listen to any direction a volunteer is giving you. 

Please keep an eye on your emails, we'll be sending out updates to all registrants every two weeks until about a month before the race when we will start sending out updates weekly. If you aren't recieveing emails please check your spam or reach out to us. 

The Format

We'll have spots for 60 runners for our first Mirror Twin Beer Mile. We'll be running the race in 5 heats of 12 runners to avoid congestion on the course. We'll be starting heats every 20 minutes beginning at 10am. We'll let you know your heat and your start time a few days before the race. 

The Relay

Not ready to drink four beers and run four laps? That alright! You and a buddy can team up on a relay, you can choose the order you run and gender doesn't matter. We'll reserve two of the heats for relay teams, so that's 24 slots. If we get overwhelming numbers for the relay we'll adjust as necessary.
