Description

The inaugural Rodeo Run 5K will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 9 a.m., at the scenic Kentucky Horse Park, in Lexington, Kentucky.  Beginning at the Alltech Arena in the heart of the Kentucky Horse Park grounds, the Rodeo Run 5K will weave between stabling areas, past the cross-country and steeplechase courses, around the Rolex outdoor area, and through the Horse Park campgrounds before finishing back inside the Alltech Arena.

You can compete in the Rodeo Run individually or as a team.  Register your team as a "herd" if you have 3 to 5 team members, or as a "stampede" if your team consists of 6 to 10 people.  There is just one catch:  teams must be tied together by rope through the entire 5K race.  All Rodeo Run 5K participants receive a dry fit commemorative race shirt.

The Rodeo Run is not only for adults, either.  A 1-Mile Rodeo Fun Run/Walk is open to children and adult walkers, making this event one the entire family can enjoy.

The top three male and female overall finishers will be recognized, as well as the top three finishers in over 15 different male and female age groups.  We will also recognize the herd or stampede team that dressed most closely to the "rodeo" theme.   Finishers medals for all 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk participants.
