Description

Come Run With The Pugs ... It is an experience you'll never forget!

Join us for the 2nd Annual GREAT PUG RUN 5K on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11am at Masterson Station Park in West Lexington.  Come join in the fun of this "doggie friendly" race which welcomes competitive runners and walkers.  Enjoy the beauty of Masterson Station Park while helping raise money and awareness for the Bluegrass Pug Rescue.

Our race benefits the Bluegrass Pug Rescue (www.bluegrasspugrescue.org) and features commemorative race T-shirts, chip timing by RaceRise, Overall & Age Group awards, a doggie friendly cross country course and more.

We've created a VIRTUAL RUNNER/WALKER category for those who cannot physically join us in Lexington but want to support the Bluegrass Pug Rescue.  For a $30 donation we'll mail you your race bib and commemorative shirt so that you can do your own 5K from your town/city or home.  Registration for this special division ends on April 1, 2018 so that we can order and ship shirts in a timely manner.

Our commemorative race shirts are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.  When you register and get to the giveaway section you'll see what sizes we have left.  If your size is not available you can either choose another size or select one of the "No shirt" options (Donate proceeds or save $).  If we have left over shirts after the race concludes (from no shows) we'll make those available to anyone who did not get the shirt size they wanted.

Only fixed length (no retractable) leashes for all dogs please!  Strollers are allowed but know that it is a cross country/grass/trail type course.

Run With The Pugs and Help Us Rescue and Care For More!

Bluegrass Pug Rescue's mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless unwanted, sick or injured Pugs, rehabilitate them and place them into loving, permanent adoptive homes in Kentucky. We strive to educate the public about the Pug dog breed including its personality, special needs, and care. We provide needed medical care and spay or neuter operations for all of the Pugs that come into our rescue.
