Description

Join us for the inaugural GREAT PUG RUN 5K on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 9am at Masterson Station Park in West Lexington. RUN/WALK/SIT/STAY! Want a shirt but can't be here? Sign up before April 1st to be a VIRTUAL RUNNER! You can be ANYWHERE and still participate!!! ( or just get the GREAT shirt!!!!)

Our race benefits the Bluegrass Pug Rescue (www.bluegrasspugrescue.org) and features commemorative race T-shirts, chip timing by RaceRise, Overall & Age Group awards, a doggie friendly cross country course and more.

Come join in the fun of this "doggie friendly" race which welcomes competitive runners and walkers.  Enjoy the beauty of Masterson Station Park while helping raise money and awareness for the Bluegrass Pug Rescue.

We've created a VIRTUAL RUNNER/WALKER category for those who cannot physically join us in Lexington but want to support the Bluegrass Pug Rescue.  For a $30 donation we'll mail you your race bib and commemorative shirt so that you can do your own 5K from your town/city or home.  Registration for this special division ends on April 1, 2017 so that we can order and ship shirts in a timely manner.

Bluegrass Pug Rescue's mission is to rescue abused, abandoned, homeless unwanted, sick or injured Pugs, rehabilitate them and place them into loving, permanent adoptive homes in Kentucky. We strive to educate the public about the Pug dog breed including its personality, special needs, and care. We provide needed medical care and spay or neuter operations for all of the Pugs that come into our rescue.
