Blessings in a Backpack presents the "Do It Yourself" 5K Walk/Run!

Blessings in a Backpack unites communities to help ensure elementary school children have access to food on the weekends when school meals are unavailable. By mobilizing volunteers, donors, and local resources, Blessings provides nutritious, weekend-ready meals to children who might otherwise go hungry.

Today, Blessings in a Backpack distributes more than three million meals annually, helping children return to school on Monday nourished, ready to learn, and prepared to succeed.

The race is a “Do It Yourself” 5k run/walk done on your own time, at your own pace, and in your own place. You can participate any time between Saturday, November 7th, and Sunday, November 15th. Those who registered by October 2nd will receive their t-shirt prior to the race.  We will ship shirts after the race to everyone who registers after October 2nd.  

Registration prices:

• $35 for student (under 23)
• $75 for adult (23 and over)
• $175 for a family (up to five people in the same household)*

*Family registrations should be made simultaneously to receive the registration discount. Shirts must be shipped to the same mailing address.

We encourage YOU to be a Team Captain and serve as a champion to spread the word and encourage friends and family to sign up and donate! We have teams forming on behalf of high schools, colleges, families, companies, and friend groups.
