The Norton Sports Health Kentucky Derby Festival Training Program is a FREE 15-week program designed for runners and walkers of all experience levels. This year's training will be conducted IN-PERSON. The program includes a complete training guide, in-person group runs, hill & track work, yoga, nutrition and more. The first 800 to register for the Norton Sports Health Training Program will receive a FREE long sleeve Tech Shirt. Once tech shirts sell out, registrants will still be able to register to participate in the training program and receive the training manual, however shirts are only promised to the first 800 registered.
This year's Norton Sports Health Training Program Kick-off will take place Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 5:30pm - 8pm at the Kentucky Derby Museum.
Please note, this year's kick-off is being held in-person and will adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.
- All attendees need to register online in advance to select a scheduled (Corral) time to attend.
- It will be a walk-through event to allow for social distancing.
- A limited number of attendees will be allowed each half hour.
- Masks will be required (and available on site).
All Derby Festival events and programs adhere to local, state, and federal COVID-19 guidelines. While guidance continues to evolve attendees may be asked to wear a mask and follow other safety protocol while at the orientation.
