Lou2Lex Virtual Ultra

Tue June 1 - Sat July 31 Louisville, KY 40209 US

Events

Description

100 Miles. 2 Months. Do you have what it takes to run Louisville to Lexington? The Lou2Lex Virtual Ultra will test your endurance as you run the equivalent of a scenic route from Cardinal Stadium in Louisville to Kroger Field in Lexington while supporting a great cause. You can run solo outside, on a treadmill, or with others in your training circle. Keep track of your miles and when you reach 100 miles, you'll receive a bright tech T-shirt and Kentucky-shaped finisher medal.

Team Louisville vs. Team Lexington

Are you Team Louisville or Team Lexington? During the registration process, you'll get to choose your Team. For those who choose Team Louisville, your race registration will go to support Saving Sunny. Saving Sunny is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to reduce the flow of dogs into the shelter system by providing education, resources, and advocacy for people and their pets regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender, age, sexual orientation or ability. For those who choose Team Lexington, your race registration will go to support the Lexington Humane Society. LHS is the largest pet adoption agency in Central Kentucky; they educate the community on responsible pet care and the compassionate treatment of all animals, and they spay/neuter the pets of qualifying families at a low cost.

Don't have a city preference? No worries, we've got you covered! Your donation can also go towards the Kentucky Humane Society. The Kentucky Humane Society is a champion for companion animals. Through leadership, education and proactive solutions, they are creating more compassionate communities.

No matter which team you choose, your registration will support animals in our local community!

Tracking Your Mileage

While 100 miles may seem daunting, remember that you have until July 31 to complete the challenge. You can do all 100 miles at once, or space it over however many days you need, going at whatever pace you'd like. You can use any variety of running apps or a GPS watch to keep track of your running. NEW this year, the RunSignUp website will help you track your progress along the way. By clicking Results at the top of the page, you can upload your daily activities to add toward your 100-mile goal. You can also text in your results for them to be added. Find out how to submit your activities to your results here. As you train, remember to post your progress on social media using the hashtag #Lou2Lex. Then, we'll send you your challenge swag once the Virtual Ultra wraps up on July 31. We'll also choose lucky finishers to receive swag and gift certificates from local Louisville and Lexington businesses.
