Occurring over Veteran's Day Weekend, this race is inspired by the gallant efforts of our US Armed Forces, "Take the Hill" honors those brave men and women. The race also finishes up a substantial hill in Cherokee Park (to Hogan's Fountain) where runners and walkers will be faced with a challenge as well.
All participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt as well as a participants medal that is dedicated to the men and women who have served our country (and are currently serving).
Register by September 30 to guarantee shirt size.

Where will be the race be held? Hogan's Foutain, Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY
What time does the race start? The 5K race starts at 8:00 am.
What time should I arrive? Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time.
Where will I park? Free parking is available at the starting line.
Are restrooms available at the race venue? Yes, restrooms at the pavilion will be open.
When does online registration close? Online registration will remain open through race morning.
Can I register on race day? Yes! Race day registration will be available. But prices will increase as it gets closer to the start. Therefore it is better to register early.
What do I get for my registration fee? Your race registration includes a race number (bib) with timing chip, a race t-shirt, and finisher's medal. T-shirts are only guaranteed for those that register by 18 October.
When can I get my race t-shirt and race number? You can pick both up the day before at Fleet Feet Louisville, or on race day starting at 7:00 am at the starting line.
Can I view a course map? Course map will be published once approved. The majority will take place on the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park.
Is the course totally on hard surfaces? Yes!
Is the course suitable for strollers? Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course will be allowed, but please line up behind the main running pack at the Start Line. Also, please be aware of oncoming runners and move to the side to allow them to pass if/when this occurs.
Can I walk the race? Yes! Walkers are welcome.
Will the race be timed? Yes!
Will awards be presented after the races? Yes! All runners will receive a finisher's medal. Awards for the top male and female finishers will be presented as soon as possible after the race. There will additional age group awards as well.
Can I find my finish time online? Yes! Results will be published following the race.
