Legendary Liam's Virtual Birthday 4K

We are creeping up on what should be Liam's 4th birthday, and even without looking at a calendar, I feel it.  4. My son should be 4 in just a few short weeks.  Last year was hard, the first of many birthdays to come without Liam physically here in our arms, but somehow this seems harder.  4.  Some days I can push past the hurt; others it takes my breath away.  4 is so much older than 2.5.  He would be so different now...   This year we will be doing a Virtual (meaning you can walk or run it anywhere/anytime) 4K to celebrate Liam's 4th birthday.  All proceeds will go to The Legendary Heart Foundation for Congenital Heart Defect research.  If you're not familiar with Liam's story, I left last year's description up below this, so keep reading.

 Our son, Liam Ison (aka Legendary Liam), should be turning three years old November 23rd, but he's not.  He passed away this May (2014) from complications of his 5th open heart surgery.  He was just 2.5 years old.  We are planning this Virtual 3K Run/Walk to honor and celebrate his life.  All proceeds from the 3K will go to The Legendary Heart Foundation for Congenital Heart Defect research in Liam's memory.  By participating in this event, you're not only honoring our boy, but you're also giving us the hope we need to get through what I'm sure will be a very hard day by showing us that he's still making his mark on this world.   

This is a Virtual 4K Run/Walk, which means you can run/walk it whenever/wherever you choose, including on a treadmill.  Feel free to run/walk alone or with a group.  We only ask that you complete your 4K sometime between Nov.15th and Nov. 30th.  We would love to see photos from your run/walk, but that's not a requirement.  Also, when you finish, you should get yourself a slice of cake, some ice cream, or a frozen yogurt (one of Liam's favorite treats).  What's a birthday without cake and ice cream??   We'd love to see those pictures, too.  You can post them on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/legendaryheartfoundation. PS-If we have at least 50 participants, everyone will get an extremely cool, completely custom medal made just for this 4K approximately 6 weeks-8 weeks after November 30th.
