Super Hero 5K/Kids Fun Run/Walk

5K Race - 7:30 a.m.- 8:45 a.m. 
Kids Fun Run (FREE FOR CHILDREN) - 9:00 a.m.- 9:30 a.m.  Sponsored by Optum

5K Early Bird Entry Fee: $25
After September 1st: $35

The Super Hero 5K/Kids Fun Run/Walk will be held on September 28 beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT, and is conducted by Owensboro Health Healthpark and Owensboro Health Foundation, with proceeds providing support to cancer patients at Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center.

Prizes will be awarded following each individual event to the overall male and female winner in each age division. Shirts and sizes are guaranteed if registered by September 1, 2024.

The Kids Fun Run (1/2 mile) is FREE but limited to the first 200 kids. Advanced online registration is required to participate. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a T-shirt, a finisher's medal and have the opportunity to be placed in a drawing for a new bike and a $500 wellness grant for their school (school must be part of a school system in the Owensboro Health service area).  Please be sure to include shirt size when registering.

Check-In - 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Super Hero Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. with the walk starting at 11:00 a.m.

Gather a team of participants to support a family member, co-worker, or friend.  Dress up as your favorite Super Hero!  Teams can walk in honor or in memory of a loved one, and cancer survivors will be honored at the event.  $25 per team member.  It is not required, but teams are asked to raise $500 to support the cancer center.  Learn more about the Super Hero Walk and register here:  www.owensborohealth.org/superheroes

Survivor Walk/Team Check-In: 9:30 a.m.- 10:20 a.m.

Awards will be given to 1st and 2nd place Male and 1st and 2nd place Female in the age categories listed below.  The overall Male and Female winners will be pulled from their age category and awarded separately.
