Telford YMCA Race to Fight Childhood Obesity

The Race to Fight Childhood Obesity will take place on September 25th at 8:30am at the Telford YMCA.

September is Childhood Obesity Awareness Month. We put a strong emphasis on offering programs for youth so that they may stay active and improve on their well-being. We hope to make this race an annual event and something that our community looks forward to each year.

Our race will benefit youth programs at the Telford Community Center YMCA

Race Details

Register by September 17th, 2021 to be guaranteed a race t-shirt

The 5K will include chip timing by Good Times Event Services LLC.

Age group top male and female, and top group (5 or more participants) will receive an award. Top male and top female overall finishers in the race will be given cash prizes.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash.

Feel free to bring along a stroller for your little one. 

If you are not registered by September 17th, we will have extras on the day of the race but t-shirts will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Other YMCA shirts will also be on sale the day of the race.

The event will NOT be called or delayed for rain.  In the event of thunder, lightning, hail or other such inclement weather, the decision to call or delay the event will be made at 7:30am, Saturday, September 25th 2021. In the event of event cancellation, please consider your entry fee a donation that will support the mission of the Telford YMCA, as refunds will not be given.

Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup will be September 24th from 5-7pm at the Telford YMCA. Race day pickup will be between 7:30-8:30am
