The Pisgah Community Historic Association --- Our Race Presenting Organization & Beneficiary

Our race is being orchestrated by residents and members of the Pisgah Community Historic Association.  100% of the proceeds and donations from the race will benefit our mission of preserving this historic community.

The Pisgah Community Historic Association is an incorporated non-profit established for the purpose of providing services to the Pisgah community.  Those services include, but are not limited to, the analysis and documenting of historic sites in the Pisgah community for the educational advancement of the State of Kentucky and furthering the protection from destruction and encroachment in Pisgah’s historic sites as recognized by the Woodford County Fiscal Court, the Kentucky Heritage Council, and the National Register of Historic Places.  In addition, those services include educating the general public as to the importance of preserving the natural beauty and health-giving benefits of the Pisgah community, deemed a local, state, and national treasure.

The Pisgah Historic Agricultural District was placed on the National Historic Register in 1987.  It is one of the very few such districts in the U.S. and is the largest in Kentucky.

Our half marathon route starts and finishes on beautiful Ashbrooke Farm, runs along scenic Pisgah Pike, Williams Lane and Paynes Mill Roads and through 3 additional Central Kentucky horse farms (WinStar Farm, Buck Pond Farm and Ashview Farm).  There will be 11 hydration stations along the half marathon route spaced about every 1.5 miles serving water and Gatorade.  The elevation change for the 13.1 is 699 feet.  100% of the half marathon route is on paved roadway surfaces.

Our 10K run/walk route starts and finishes on beautiful Ashbrooke Farm, runs along scenic Pisgah Pike, Williams Lane and Paynes Mill Roads and includes our "WinStar Magnificent Mile" (1 mile loop through iconic WinStar Farm).
