Tiki Trot 5k & Fun Run & Moonlight Swim

The 2017 Tiki Trot 5K & Fun Run, presented by Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance, Courtney Roberts (Manager) is set for Friday, July 28.  This is a fun, family oriented event held at the Woodford County Park on a cross-country course.  The Fun Run will begin at 7PM and the 5K Tiki Trot will begin at 8PM.  Keeping with the theme, the course will be lit with Tiki Torches & all race finishers will receive a very special welcome as they cross the finish line.  If you’re up for even more fun, wear your best island attire during the race!

After the race, all participants and their families are encouraged to join us at the Falling Springs Splash Pool for a Moonlight Swim.  Awards presentations will take place at the pool.

The 5K race is chip timed event by Headfirst Performance.

Proceeds benefit the Woodford Health Foundation Scholarship Fund.  This fund offers assistance to individuals & families with financial need so they can participate in Parks & Recreation programs as well as utilize the Falling Springs Center.  Scholarships are used to provide aid for adult & children in programs such as youth basketball, Start Smart sports programs, martial arts, swim lessons, fitness programs & more, as well as for passes to Falling Springs Center.

Everyone deserves a chance to move, be active & get healthy.  Your participation will help make that happen!

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This event is for participants of all ages & skill levels.

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Course:  Enjoy a torch lit walk or run on a 1-mile course on the County Park Trails. This event is at 7PM.

5K Course:  The 5K race is held on the Woodford County Park cross-country course, which is one of the most beautiful & challenging cross-country courses in the state.  Whether you walk or run, you are sure to enjoy this beautiful course.  This event is at 8PM.

The route will be further enhanced by Tiki Torches that will light the course on race day.  It will make for a perfect summer evening walk or run!  (5K race entry includes the Fun Run!)

ENTRY FEES & DEADLINES
By June 30:      5K – $20  /  Fun Run – $10
After June 30:  5K – $25  / Fun Run – $15
Race Day:         5K – $30  / Fun Run – $20

A NOTE ON RACE SHIRTS:  To be GUARANTEED a race shirt, you MUST register by 7/23/17. We will order a LIMITED number of extra shirts when we place the order on Monday morning, July 24 & these will be assigned first come, first served to late registrations.  There is a VERY GOOD possibility that there will be NO shirts available on race day, so register early to make sure you get one!
