Join the Fun and Run!   Keiki, ages 12 and younger, are invited to run/walk this 1.3 mile waterfront course. This is an untimed run because our goal is to spark the joy of fitness in keiki participant.

Location:  Kaka`ako Waterfront Park, 102 Ohe Street, Honolulu

Start Time:  Program & Warm-ups will start at 8 AM.  Runners will be organized by age groups.  Runners will start in waves at 8:30 AM.

Register Early:  Register on or before Feb. 20, 2026 and enjoy savings.  Pricing will increase on Feb. 21 and April 4.  Registration will close 10 PM on April 17, 2026.  NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION.  Limited to 1,600 participants.

Ages 8 and youngerMust be accompanied by a registered adult wearing a run bib.

Little Runner & Strollers – For safety reasons, this group has a different start from the main start. Families need to plan accordingly, listen for instructions, and follow guides to the start (about a 5 min. walk).  If your stroller has all-terrain wheels, you may opt to start at the main course but you must queue up last.  Be aware that the terrain is varied and there is a dirt slope.  Little runners will receive a bib, YXS or YXXS tshirt and healthy snacks. No donation for preschools will be generated.

Virtual Run – Newly added in 2026!  If your family needs more flexibility, a virtual run option has been added.  Your bib(s) and t-shirt(s) will be mailed to your home address on or about April 6, 2026.  Deadline to sign-up is March 18, 2026.  Submit a photo and we will upload it to the event’s digital wallpaper.

Bibs – All participants on the course must display a runner’s bib on the front of shirt.  Use two safety pins to attach the bib.

Bibs & T-shirts for Late Registrants – ALL LATE REGISTRANTS (those who registered after March 18, 2026), shall pick up their bibs at the Bib Pick-Up Tent on the morning of the event.  Volunteers will be available to assist you starting at 7 AM.  T-shirt distribution for Late Registrants will begin at 9:30 AM. We will try our best, but cannot guarantee that Late Registrants will receive their desired t-shirt size.

Parking – Parking can be found in the park’s parking lot, city streets and additionally at 677 Ala Moana Blvd. ($3 per vehicle).

Safety on the Course – Teach your child to maintain a “helicopter” space; i.e. arms out with a 360 degree bubble of space to the next runner.  When caution is needed (i.e. wet surface or a turn), Slow Down.  As a courtesy to faster runners,  please stay to the right so others can pass.

First Aid – There will be a First Aid tent onsite and First Aid Volunteers along the course.  Mahalo to Kaiser Permanente’s team of volunteers!

Benefit to Schools – Raise funds to benefit your child’s physical education and wellness programs.  K-12 schools can register to receive $10 per keiki registration.  To be eligible, a school must have 10 or more student participants.

Refunds - There will be no refunds after March 18, 2026.  If you are not able to attend or if the race is canceled due to inclement weather, your child's entry fee will still be donated to the school you designate during online registration. Adult entry fees will be donated to support next year's event. Your entry may not be transferred to another person without prior approval from the event organizers.

Cancellation - If inclement weather, or other circumstances in the surrounding area, threaten to impact the event, we may need to make a decision on whether to continue as planned or make modifications. There are many conditions that could force us to make a change to the run (i.e., high winds, heavy rain, safety concerns on the course, etc.). Modifications to the event may include delaying the start time, modifying the course, or canceling. Keiki Rainbow Run reserves the right to make modifications to the event at any time, and we exercise this right in order to keep participants, volunteers, spectators, organizers, and public safety officers safe.

Lost & Found – Go to the Information Tent in the makai ewa corner of the field.
