Race Surface & Path Details
- Primary Surface – The course is mostly on the asphalt Hike/Bike path, with three sections featuring an 8-foot-wide natural trail that runs along the lake.
- Two-Way Traffic – The path will remain open to the public, so please be mindful of other park users.
Trail & Race Etiquette
- Do respect community regulations in parks, tracks, and multi-use trails.
- Do run single-file, not two-abreast unless there is ample public space to do so. Don't force others off of a sidewalk or trail by hogging the space. Please be respectful of other runner's space (in both directions).
Road Crossings & Safety
While the course is primarily on trails, there are a few parking lot driveway crossings within the park.
⚠️ Important Safety Reminders:
- Automobile traffic has the right of way at these crossings.
- Do not assume vehicles will stop—slow down, check for cars, and cross safely.
- Taking a brief moment to ensure your safety will not significantly impact your race time—in fact, a short pause can help with race pacing!
Aid Stations
💧 Hydration is key! Aid stations will be placed every mile around the course, staffed by our support crew. Each station will have:
- Water
- Gatorade Endurance Formula (on ice)
