Kim's 5K Run/Walk

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  Near the dog park area in Coldstream Research Park at 1850 Pisacano Drive, Lexington, KY 40511
2. What time does the race start?  The 5K race start time is 9:00 am.
3. What time should I arrive?  Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time.
4. Where will I park?  Parking is available in the parking lots of the large building located at 1648 McGrathiana Pkwy (corner of McGrathiana Pkwy and Pisacano Dr). There will a short walk down Pisacano Drive to the race Start/Finish line area.

 

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race t-shirt and race number?  On race day starting at 7:30 am at the race site.
2. Can I view a course map?  Yes. Click here to view the course map.
3. Is the course totally on the Legacy Trail?  No. Unfortunately the construction in this area has required an alternate course design to be used. However, the course is still an out and back design on asphalt and concrete surfaces in this area.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers?  Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course is possible. Please start in the back of the race pack.
5. Can I walk the race?  Yes! Walkers are welcome.  Please start in the back of the race pack.
6. Can I bring my dog?  Yes! Dogs on a fixed length leash are welcome on the course. No retractable leashes please as they create a trip hazard.  Please start in the back of the race pack.

 

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will open through race morning on Saturday, May 27, 2017. 
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes, but you must pay with a credit card. No cash or checks accepted on race day.
3. What do I get for my registration fee?  All that register before May 5th will receive a race t-shirt.
4. Is there a benefitting charity?  Yes, race proceeds benefit the Dr. Kimberly D. Merritt Memorial Scholarship Fund.
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry, registration fees are for the benefit of the charity and are non-refundable.

 

Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes! The race will be timed by 3 Way Racing.
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  Yes! Awards for the top finisher in the following age groups, 18-29, 30-49, 50 & over, will be presented as soon as possible after the race is over.
