What time does the race start?
The half marathon will start at 7 AM followed by the 5K at 7:30 AM, and the 1 mile fun run at 9 AM. 

Is the 13.1 miles and 5K Race certified? 
Yes, both the 13.1 miles and 5K Race are USATF Certified (AL 24024JE)

Is the 13.1 miles and 5K Race chip timed?
Yes, both the 13.1 miles and 5K Race will be chipped time

Can I get a refund?
All race entries are non-refundable. 

How do I become a sponsor?
Please visit the race website (https://www.kulturecity.org/birmingham-race) for sponsorhip opportunites. 

What food and drinks will be on the course?
The course will have a water station every mile. Water and gatorade will be served at each mile. There will be a medical aid station at mile 6. 

Will there be bathrooms on the course?
Bathrooms and Portalets will be available at the start, finish and at mile 6. 

Is there a race-day registration and packet pickup?
There will not be race-day registration but packet pickup will be available starting at 5:30 AM.

Can I wear headphones?
We do not recommend using headphones but we leave it up to the athlete on his/ her ability to follow directions and hear the surrounding noices while wearing headphone devices.

Will you have pacers for the Half Marathon?
Yes. Pacers will run at the following paces:

1:35 
1:40 
1:50 
1:55 
2:00 
2:10 
2:30 
2:45 
3:00 

Can someone else run in my place?
No, registration is non-transferrable. 

Where should I park?
There is ample street parking around the start line. 

Are there finisher medals?
Yes, there will be finisher medals for the 5K and half marathon. 

Will there be a bag check on race day?
Yes, bag check will be available. 

Are walkers allowed in the race?
Yes, but you must meet the race cuttoff time, which is four hours for the half marathon. 

Are baby joggers, strollers or pets allowed during the race?
Yes. 

When and where is packet pickup?
Packet pickup will be on Thursday, November 20th and Friday, November 21st from 9am-5pm. The location is TBD. 

What are the awards for top finishers?
The awards are as follows: 
Half Marathon - 1st Place: $500, 2nd Place: $400, 3rd Place: $300, Top Male and Female Masters (50 and above): $200
5K - 1st Place: $250, 
2nd Place: $150, 
3rd Place: $100, Top Male and Female Masters (50 and above): $100

After you race your 5K and 13.1 miles, celebrate your accomplishments with us! We will have a post race celebration with amazing food and music together with your friends and family!
