Description

The Rouge-Orleans is a team relay and ultramarathon running event that features participants from all over the world, running 126.2 miles from the USS Kidd in downtown Baton Rouge to Audubon Park in New Orleans on Mardi Gras Weekend.   The 2015 Rouge-Orleans is scheduled for February 13-15. The race begins on Friday the 13th, runs through Valentine’s Day, and Finishes on Sunday amongst the parades.  Participants can run as individual runners or on teams of 2, 3, or 6.  You have up to 42 hours to complete the run.

The run takes place almost entirely on top of the Mississippi River Levee (paved and dirt/rock mix), with the team and individual runner support vehicles utilizing nearby River Road. The levee provides the safest route for participants, and a spectacular view of the 4th longest river in the world.  Along the way Runners will pass historical plantations and towns that have been around for over 300+ years.  Fore more information visit www.TheRougeOrleans.com
