Description
Louisiana Athletics is hosting a Virtual Fan Fest 5K Race presented by LUS Fiber and Our Lady of Lourdes from August 28-30. Registration is here.
You can do the race inside your home on the treadmill or you can go outside and practice safe social distancing by walking, jogging, or running your own route. The virtual race is just 3.1 miles and is a family-friendly event!
Registration is free and participants are encouraged to use the adidas Runtastic Running app or another fitness tracking mobile app to follow their run time, activity, and progress. T-shirts will be provided for the first 400 participants that register before August 23 while supplies last.
A registration packet including a race bib and exclusive Ragin’ Cajuns playlist will be emailed to participants prior to the race.
After the race, runners will receive a completion certificate. Participants who also email screenshots of fitness tracking apps to geauxcajuns@louisiana.edu will be eligible to win the fastest time in their defined age groups. The winners from defined male and female age groups will be featured on the videoboard during a future Ragin' Cajuns football game.
Runners are encouraged to post the screenshots and/or photos on social media using #GeauxRun and tagging @RaginCajuns to be entered to win prizes courtesy of Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics.
