The Art of 5K Run

Sign up for The Art of 5K benefiting Acadiana Center for the Arts Arts-in-Education Programming! Creativity runs free through downtown Lafayette on May 11, 2019 at 8:00AM.

The first annual Art of 5K will take place through art-filled downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods of Lafayette, LA. Dress up as your favorite artist (performing/visual) or artwork to help bring the arts to a 5k!   

0K After Party is included for all the runners also.  

0K Party - 

"T-shirt.  Bib. Don’t run. Finish line.  Party."

Not a runner? That’s okay, join Lafayette’s shortest race - the 0K! The 0K starts just 10 minutes after the 5K.

 Walk up to the starting line and then enjoy the best part of a 5K - the post-race festivities. The 0K entices the everyday person to partake in a fundraiser with the thrill of no training and no running.  

Join us for food, drinks, and music as we party and cheer on the runners as they cross the finish line! "

The event is another way to support AcA’s arts-in-education programming that brings art to students in 77 public schools in Lafayette, St. Landry, and Vermillion Parishes. Packet pickup begins Friday, May 10th from 10AM-4PM at Tri-Running, 2813 Johnston St., Lafayette LA 70503.

The event includes a T-shirt, music, food, and drinks. T-shirts are first come, first serve and may be limited during packet pickup the day of.

Race day registration will be available on-site starting at 6:30 am.

Race day registration increases to $40

Age Groups:

13 and Younger, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up

Awards:

Medals will be awarded to the 1st & 2nd male and female finishers in the overall category. Medals will also be awarded to the 1st & 2nd male and female finishers in each age category. The team with the most participants receive complimentary AcA Fellow Memberships.
