Run With The Nuns 5K, Charity Ride and Cook Off

The Run with the Nuns Charity Ride, 5K Run and Cook-Off is an annual fundraiser focused on Hospital needs. Last year and this year the event has been dedicated in memory of Coach Max Caldarera, a special member of our community who passed away last year as a result of a cardiac event. The proceeds from this event will specifically help complete funding for a new Hybrid Surgical Suite, which mirrors that of the nation’s most prestigious heart programs and centers. It will give our community access to the absolute best in cardiac care, including top cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons as well as state-of-the-art technology.
This event has traditionally included a motorcycle/jeep ride and a rice and gravy cook-off. This year we are adding a 5K run for the athletes in our community who really want to participate in this event. With the addition of the run, we anticipate this year’s Run with the Nuns will be our biggest event yet!
The Run will be the first of three events taking place during our annual Run with the Nuns Celebration. There will also be a motorcycle/jeep ride and a Rice & Gravy Cook-Off. Run participants can join us for lunch at around noon, along with the Rice & Gravy People’s Choice taste-testing. Door prizes will be given away and awards will be given for the Rice & Gravy entries during the lunch hour. Registration Fees (Early & Late Fees & dates):
$30 per runner.
Pre-Registration ends 8/31/17 (those who pre-register by 8/31/17 will receive a free t-shirt)
Online Registration ends 9/18/17 (this is the last day for online registration; those wanting to enter the race after that date can register race day).
Registration includes entry in race, lunch and a door prize ticket. Register by August 31st to receive a free T-shirt as well.

The Foundation office is located in the first floor of Parking Garage B, across Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive from the Hospital’s Emergency Department. There is a green awning over our door facing Dr. Michael DeBakey Drive.

Refund Policy
In the event a participant wants a refund (whether due to weather circumstances or a personal decision), we appreciate their consideration of allowing their registration fee to remain as a donation to CHRISTUS St. Patrick Foundation to help fund a new Hybrid Surgical Suite. If the participant definitely wants a refund, we will accommodate this.
