Description

NEW FOR 2019!!
THE DIRTY DOUBLE
The Dirty Double is going to be the exact distance you ran Saturday and you'll have to do it all over on Sunday. You still only have the hard cutoff of 8 hrs to finish. For those wanting to do the 50k, this will be extremely difficult especially if you run hard the day before. We came up with this crazy idea because we were told that our 50k was too easy. With a 80% DNF rate on the regular Danimal 50k, The Dirty Double will surely test anyone's grit. We are offering cash prizes because we want to draw the very best trail runners from all over and nothing attracts the most competitive runners like a little moolah. The way we determine the winners are whoever has the fastest "cumulative "times from Saturday's race and Sunday's race .We will have cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place MALE OR FEMALE in each distance (12k, 25k, 50k)
For example: If you run the 25k on Saturday in 2hrs and you run Sunday's 25k in 2 hrs you have a total time of 4 hrs.
we are not doing age group awards for sunday's race!!
We will have buckles for all finishers of the Dirty Double 50k only. (you must finish within the 8hr cutoff time)
Of course we welcome your friends and family to hang out, grab something to eat and bask in the deerflies.

The cutoff times for the all three races is 8 hours.  Everyone must be accounted for by 4:00 p.m. sharp.

You are responsible for your own entry fee into the park.  The State has informed me that they will be collecting $3.00  PER PERSON!!!

We will be grilling starting close to noon so even if you aren't running, come grab a bite to eat and encourage those who chose to inflict this misery upon themselves.

The main pavilion will serve as the main aid station and we will have other unmanned aid stations with water and electrolytes.   We will have burgers at the pavillion, fruit, cookies, and whatever baked delights Jeanne Claire decides to bring. We will try to cover what most ultra runners like but...if your nutrition consist of grandma's special organic cookie, I suggest you invite grandma.
Hydration will consist of water, Tailwind and sodas if you like. Adult beverages will be available to runners and spectators.

The trails will not be closed for the race, it is open to the public so watch out for hikers, cyclists and bird watchers.  Earphones are allowed, just keep your wits about you.

THE 50K IS A TEAM ASAP QUALIFIER!
