Princess for a Day 5K

Back for our 2nd year running, get ready to run like royalty at our 2nd Annual “Princess for a Day 5K” & ½ mile family fun run.  NOLA Pixie Dust is excited to bring back a family friendly race day with special appearances from some of your favorite characters on Saturday September 28th, 2019. Participants are encouraged to come dressed as royalty in their best prince or princess running costume. Whether you are a committed runner or prefer a walk around the park, the 3.1 magical miles of the Princess for a Day course will have you feeling like royalty. The JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, has our continued support and once again will be our beneficiary for our 2nd Annual Princess for a Day 5K. Be our guest, put your running to the test!

The race day begins with a 1/2 mile family fun run at 8:30 am at LaSalle Park in Metairie, LA with the 5K to follow.  The 5K race course runs along the LaSalle Park track before ending with a magical celebration after party in the Baby Cakes parking lot.  A NOLA Pixie Dust Princess will be at each of the three mile markers cheering on the race participants and available for a quick race selfie!  You won’t want to stop for too long as the course will only be open for 1 hr.  Don’t worry all princesses will join the after party once all participants have crossed the finish line!

The 5K will be precisely measured utilizing chip-timed race bibs with live results online.  Winners of each category will be awarded with a commemorative race award.  Every royal 5K participant crossing the finish line will receive the Inaugural Princess for a Day 5K medallion!
