Virtual events bring the energy of a major road race right to your neighborhood. You skip the 7:00 AM crowds and the parking hassle. Instead, you map out your own 3.1 miles, pick your race day, and run or walk anywhere you choose—even on a treadmill.

Here is exactly how it works.

The Participant Experience

You are signing up for a coordinated, large-scale event, not a solo run. Because this race is all about personal achievement and collective celebration, there are no individual podium winners. Everyone crosses their own finish line.

The Gear

We mail a professional race packet directly to your doorstep. Every participant gets a real, weatherproof Tyvek runner's bib. Your package details depend on your chosen tier:

• Essential Tier: Includes your physical bib and a classic 50/50 blend cotton event shirt.

• Performance Tier: Upgrades you to a premium, moisture-wicking performance tech shirt.

• Legacy Tier: Includes the performance tech shirt, your bib, and a custom, die-cast finisher's medal.

The Race & Results

Track your 3.1 miles using any running app or smartwatch, like Garmin, Strava, or Apple Fitness. Complete your distance anytime during the designated race window. Afterward, submit your time to our official RunSignup leaderboard to see your global, age-group, and team rankings instantly.

This is a virtual event with a community twist. While this is a virtual 5K, we have curated a 'Conference Route' for those attending the event who wish to run together.

Important: To ensure you receive your official race gear in time to pack for the conference, you must register no later than June 15th. Registrations received after this cutoff will still participate in the virtual 5K, but we cannot guarantee your gear will arrive before your departure.

Please note: This is an informal, self-supported group run. There will be no road closures, hydration stations, or official course marshals. We’ll meet at a designated location and time (TO BE ANNOUNCED) to tackle the route together, powered by our collective energy!

Moving Together: The Team Challenge

The virtual 5K shines when you participate with a crew. Our Battle of the Groups leaderboard builds friendly rivalry directly into the experience.

During registration, you can create or join a team representing your alumni chapter, fraternity, sorority, graduation decade, or corporate group.

We track team performance by both size and speed. Turnout matters just as much as pace. Your participation helps push your group to the top of the leaderboard, keeping you connected and accountable. You can share training updates on social media, cheer each other on digitally, and celebrate together once the final results drop.
