Kick off the Alma Plantation Harvest Festival with the1st Annual Donut Dash 5K and 1-Mile! The race begins in front of Poydras Center with the 1-Mile Fun Run on a CLOSED COURSE through the Harvest Festival booths on Main St., followed by the 5K with a single-loop course through downtown New Roads. Participants may enter the costume-driven Donut Challenge and reign as Donut King or Queen. How does one earn such a title? Athletes will start the race with the 5K runners and will eat one donut at each mile marker (1, 2 and 3). The first male and female to cross the finish line with no evidence of a donut for thirty seconds after crossing the line, wins!
Packet pick up takes place the day before at the Business Office at Catholic of Pointe Coupee High School. This is a chip-timed event, by Cajun Timing. Age group awards will be given.

For the 5k and 5k Donut Dash we have top overall male and female, plus 1st, 2nd, 3rd M&F for each age group.
For the one mile we have the overall M&F for 14 & under, plus 2nd and 3rd male and female for 14 & under

The Harvest Festival Donut Dash and The New Roads Pecan Classic are annual events that promote healthy and active lifestyles by hosting annual road races in the beautiful city of New Roads, Louisiana.
In addition to encouraging fitness, both events financially support Catholic of Pointe Coupee’s cross country and track and field programs. Sponsorships, race fees and donations for both events monetarily assist in the programs’ seasonal expenses, including a scholarship that is given to a chosen Catholic of Pointe Coupee graduating senior.
Please consider being part of The Harvest Festival Donut Dash and/or The New Roads Pecan Classic. You can help change the health of our community for the better and contribute in building a championship caliber running program at Catholic of Pointe Coupee.
