Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series

Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series provides 4 races in September and October for kids aged 3 to junior high.  Various distances are run, depending on the child's age:  3-5 runs 1/2 mile; 6-11 runs 1 mile; 12-14 will run 2 miles.  For the fall series, two mile participants can either register as an individual participant or participate with their Junior High School team via school coach.  All races are chip timed.  The course is a true cross-country course, closed to traffic and utilizes the grounds of Ward 9 Sports Complex, 3311 Donahue Ferry Road, Pineville, LA 71360.  

Upon individual registration, each participant will receive a chipped bib and a t-shirt. 

Please keep the same bib for all 4 races. If you happen to misplace or forget your child's bib number, replacement bib numbers will be available for purchase at the race venue for a cost of $10.                                              

Every finisher will receive a finish medal at the finish line each race. 

Awards will be presented following the conclusion of the 1 mile race and will include male and female top three for each age: male and female - 6 years; male and female - 7 years; male and female - 8 years; male and female - 9 years; male and female - 10 years; male and female - 11 years; male and female -12 years; male and female - 13 years. Two mile team competitors will receive team awards.

2024 Fall Series Schedule:  

August 24, 2024 8:00 am - 11:00 am at Ward 9 Sportsplex, Pineville, LA - course survey, in-person registration and packet pick-up 

August 29, 2024 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm at Run Wild, 4611 Jackson Street, Alexandria - in-person registration, packet pick-up

Race 1 - September 7, 2024 

Race 2 - September 14, 2024 

Race 3 - September 28, 2024 

Race 4 - October 5, 2024  

• For all scheduled races - 2 Milers run at 8:00 sharp; rolling start for 1/2 mile at approximately 8:30; 1 mile rolling start at approximately 8:45.  
• We start the races as close to these times as possible. Please be at race site at least 15 minutes prior to above listed race time.
