About: Beta Chi is the local Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. We raise funds to assist current and future healthcare students and leaders in achieving their educational pursuits by offering scholarships and grants. Beta Chi enhances the continuum of excellent healthcare in Northwest Louisiana by providing funding and educational opportunities for current and future students, leaders, and our local community.

Race Description: Race begins near Northwestern State University College of Nursing (Shreveport Campus) and continues through the surrounding neighborhood on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Racers interested in winning the Survivor award will wear flag football straps and will have to avoid flag-stealing zombies on the course. Completing the course with a flag remaining results in survival status. Losing all flags results in infected status.
Entry Fee: Registration is $25 now thru October 18th, $30 on Race Day. You may pay with a credit card ONLINE at www.sportspecturmusa.com or pay with cash, check, or credit card at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71105.
T-Shirts and Packet Pick-Up: You must register prior to midnight on October 9th, 2024 to guarantee a race shirt.
Packet pick-up will be at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue

Race packets will also be available at the race site @ 7:00 AM the day of the race.
Phantom Runner: If you would like to support, but are unable to attend the race, you may donate or purchase a race packet online at the Sports Spectrum Website. You may receive an optional t-shirt with your donation while supplies last.
Awards: “Survivor” 1st place male and female; 1st and 2nd place male & female in each age group.
Age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60+
Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and hand pushed or pulled vehicles will be allowed on the course, but only at a walking pace. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates, or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on the run course.
