About Geaux Bald
Join us on Leap Day and be a hero for kids with cancer! The Geaux Bald 5K is a charity event to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Geaux Bald is a student-run organization at LSU Health Shreveport that works with St. Baldrick’s Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer. The culmination of Geaux Bald is Shave Day, in which, after months of fundraising, students and members of the community shave their heads or donate hair for kids with cancer. Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of death in children, and only 4% of federal government cancer research funding goes to study pediatric cancer. ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to this initiative. Get involved, and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers!
