Description
The LSU Health Shreveport Center of Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences presents the first annual Heart Health Day 5K. All proceeds support Heart Health Day, a community event presented by Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and the LSUHS Center for Cardiovascular Disease and Sciences designed to encourage local individuals to improve their overall cardiovascular health by providing them the tools necessary to adopt healthier lifestyle habits. The Heart Health Day FREE community health fair will begin at 9am following the 5K and will offer community members the opportunity to engage with LSU Health Shreveport healthcare professionals, researchers, and students in a fun, family-friendly environment while participating in various educational activities. Cardiovascular disease is rampant within our local community and remains the #1 cause of death in our society today. Research shows that adopting a heart healthy lifestyle, especially starting at a young age, is critical to preventing cardiovascular disease. Come out and support our community being heart healthy!

Packet Pick Up
Packet Pick Up will be held at Run Wild (9462 Ellerbe Rd) on Thursday September 26th from Noon till 6:00pm and on Friday September 27th 10:00am till 6:00 pm. Packets will also be available at the race site starting at 7:00am of race day.
