4th ANNUAL MSAA RACE FOR RECOVERY:
E-Race the Stigma 5K
Please join Medical Students Against Addiction, an LSU Health Shreveport student led organization for the 4th Annual Race for Recovery 5K in support of Loving Solutions, a halfway home that provides a safe place for women in recovery from methamphetamine addiction. Let’s break down barriers to care, show love for our community, and “E-race the Stigma” against addictive diseases together on May 28th.
Date & Starting Time: Saturday May 28th, 8:00 a.m.
Location: Frisbee Golf Course on the Clyde Fant Parkway. Race takes place on the bike path.
Registration: Early registration is $25.00 through May 20th
Late Registration is $30.00 May 21st through race day
Sleep-in supporter: Don't feel like getting out of bed to run? Sign up as a sleep-in supporter and get the shirt without having to get up early and run!
Registration is $16.00 through May 20th, $20.00 May 21st through May 27th
T-shirt and Packet Pick-up: You can pick up your race packet at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Ave, Shreveport.
Thursday, May 26th noon – 6:00 p.m.
Friday, May 27th from 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
You can also pick up your packet on race day at the registration table beginning at 7:00 a.m.
Awards: Overall male and female, 1st and 2nd place in each age group.
Age Groups: 19 – under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and hand pushed or pulled vehicles will be allowed on the course, but only at awalking pace. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates, NO dogs.
