Giving Hope Changing Lives, a 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable organization Powered by On A Mission LLC, for the Shreveport/Bossier area.  Our primary goal is to help raise funds for scholarships to give to single father with children going off to college and help those in need of school supplies as children go back to school.


Place: Southern Hills Park, 1002 West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport


Time: 8:00 a.m. - Fun Run,

8:30 a.m. - 5k



Ages 19 & older $20.00 through May 15th, $25.00 May 16th – June 12th,

race day registration is $35.

Children infant to 5 years old $5.00 until May 15th, $10.00 May 16th – June 12th,

race day is $15.00

Children 6-18 years old $10.00 until May 15th, $15.00 May 16th – June 12th,

race day is $20.00

Families of 4-5 people (immediate family) can register for $75.00 through May 15th.  See multi-person pricing when registering.


This race is open to both fathers and mothers!!! So the whole family can participate.


Sleep-in supporter: If you cannot be there but still want to show your support. Sign up as a sleep-in supporter. Registration is only $20.Sleep-in supporters do not receive a t-shirt.


Fun Run: There will be a 1/2 mile fun run at 8:00 a.m. for those little ones that would like to run by themselves. The fun run is free, but you do not get a shirt.


Packet pick-up: Pre-registred participants will receive an original Father's Day 5k run /walk t-shirt. Packet pick-up will be at Sportspectrum  Thursday June 11th from noon - 6:30 p.m.,

Friday June 12th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

You may also pick your packet up race morning at the race site starting at 7:00 a.m.


Awards:  Overall male & female winners will receive a trophy. Additionally, 1st & 2nd Place in each of the age groups will receive an award.

Age Groups: 11-under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+


Post Party: Stick around for food and drinks after the race.


Let us know what school you go to!

The school that has the most registrations will receive $500. This is a great way for you all to stay engaged with your students even in the summertime.

Strollers will be allowed for those that want to bring their little ones. Those with strollers will just need to start in the back of the pack.
