The Great Pumpkin Run for Research 5k

Date & Starting Time: Saturday, October 13, 2018 A.C. Steere Park - Shreveport

Starting times: ½ Mile Kids Run – 8:00 a.m. 

5K Run – 8:30 a.m.

Packet pick up: Race packets may be picked up early at Sportspectrum

Thursday, Oct. 11th, from noon – 6:30 p.m. &

Friday, Oct. 12th, from 10 a.m.– 5:30 p.m. 

You may also pick up your packet race morning at the race site starting at 7:00 a.m.

Course Description: The race begins and ends in the parking lot of A.C. Steere Park off of Grover.

Entry Fees: 1/2 mile Fun run is $15 through October 12th and $20 on race day

5k is $20 through September 30th

$25 through October 12th

$30 on race day.

All proceeds benefit Feist-Weiller Cancer Center.

Race Packet: Pre-registered participants receive an official 2018 Great Pumpkin Run for Research long sleeve shirt.  Shirts will be guaranteed to those who register prior to October 8th, 2018, so early registration is recommended.

Post Race Party: Stick around after the race for race awards, costume contests, pumpkin decorating, & face painting

This is a chip timed race. Be sure that you pick up your timing chip race morning at the packet pick up table. You are responsible for attaching your timing chip to your shoe and returning it after the race.

Awards: Overall Male and Female winners in the 5k will receive an award. 1st and 2nd Place male and female winners in each of the following age groups will also receive an award.

8-under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-35, 36+

Costume Contest: It’s Halloween—Dress up & Win!  Great awards for kids and adults.
