WOGM-YA Superhero 5k

Run, walk, or just bring the family out to cheer on the runners. Proceeds will help the homeless in Shreveport-Bossier.

Superhero attire is welcome! Breakfast will be served by Shane’s for $5 a plate.

Date & Starting Time:  Saturday, January 9th, 2016 the race will begin at 8:00am. Red River District Shreveport (under the Texas Street Bridge)

Registration:  Registration is $20 through Friday, Dec. 18th 2015, $25.00 Dec. 19th – Jan. 8th, 2016, $30 on January 9th Race Day.  You may pay with a Credit Card at www.sportspectrumusa.com or pay with cash, check, or credit card at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, 71105.

REGISTER EARLY! No shirts guaranteed to late registrants.

T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up:  Every pre-registered participant will receive an original “Superhero 5k”  t-shirt. Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum Thursday, January 7th from noon- 7:00 pm and Friday, Jan. 8th from 10 am-5:30 pm. You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site at 7:00am.

All packets not picked up by the start of the race will be forfeited - NO REFUNDS

We are encouraging everyone to come dressed as their favorite Superhero!!!

Awards:  Overall Male & Female finishers in the 5k will receive an award. 

Teams: 1st & 2nd  place teams  will win an award. (5 person min.)

 Additionally, 1st & 2nd place winners in each of the following age groups will receive an award.

There will also be an award for the best costumed Team!

Age Groups:  19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (you can win your age group or overall and also win with your team)

Post Party: Stick around after the race for water, fruit, and other snacks.

Special Note:  Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA
