Walk A Mile in their Shoes 5k

On A Mission LLC is partnering up with Project Celebration Incorporation in bringing awareness to Domestic Violence for the month of October here in Shreveport locally and all around the world to use this event to put a stop to Domestic Violence. We want all who have lost a love one to domestic violence to come out to this event to show a moment of memory to the loss of there love one.  

Date & Starting Time: Saturday, October 8th, 2022.   5k 8:30 a.m.

Location: Stoner Skateboard Park, Shreveport, LA

5k Registration: Early registration is $30.00 through October 7th. Race Day registration is $40.00

Families of 4-5 people (immediate family) can register for $75.00 through October 5th-5:00 p.m.

Sleep-in supporter: If you cannot be there but still would like to show your support, sign up as a sleep-in supporter. Registration fee for “Sleep-in supporter” is $20. Sleep-in supporters do not receive a shirt.

REGISTER EARLY! No shirts guaranteed to late registrants. 

T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up:  Every pre-registered participant will receive an original “Walk A Mile in their Shoes 5k” t-shirt. Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum, Thursday, October 6th from noon - 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 7th from 10 am-5:30 pm. You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site at 7:00am.

Awards:  Overall male & female winners will receive a trophy. Additionally, 1st & 2nd Place male & female in each of the age groups will receive an award. 

Age Groups: 11-under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ 

Post Party: Stick around for food and drinks after the race. 

Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but must start in the back.
