Super Heroes: Choose Your Stride! 5K Run/Fun Run

The mission of the First United Methodist Church of Thibodaux Friends of the Little School is to enrich the educational experience of its students by building a community partnership between families, faculty, and alumni to support The Little School experience.

 Friends of The Little School was formed in 2016 to plan for the 40th anniversary of the school and raise funds to support its mission moving forward. Plans include the Super Heroes 5K/ Fun Run, the first-ever Direct Mail Annual Appeal, and the creation of a FUMC of Thibodaux campus Master Plan. The Master Plan will support the long-term vision of the church to develop its property on North Canal Blvd., and a new Little School will be the first priority. 

 Funds raised from the Super Heroes 5K/Fun Run will be used to support the educational needs of the Little School’s students and faculty and provide enhancements to technology and other learning activities related to the school’s mission.

The Little School is a Christian-based, outreach ministry of FUMC that provides quality pre-school to the children in the community of Thibodaux. It promotes emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and social abilities through play and learning experiences.

Little School's preschool is geared for children ages two to four years old. The school offers a half-day program, lasting from 8:45 a.m. until  12 p.m. School sessions begin in August and end in May. Early morning drop off is available from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m., and a "Lunch Bunch" (after school program) is available to all children from 12 to 3:30 p.m.
