Hurricane Laura Relief Virtual 5K Run/Walk

As if 2020 hasn't thrown a lot at the world already!!

Parts of Texas and Louisiana will need everyone's help after this devastating storm that just hit affecting hundreds of thousands at least. 

WHAT ARE WE DOING:

We are hosting a virtual 5k run/walk. You may run or walk at your own leisure but bring your game. Simply come back to this site and enter your results.

HOW TO ENTER IN YOUR RESULTS:

1. Return to this page and click on the "Results" tab in the menu on the top. 

2. Click on "Enter Virtual Results" and proceed to enter your information. 

Acceptable dates to complete the event are from Thursday 08/27/2020 until Monday at Midnight 09/07/2020. If you have questions on this please email info@beachbumtiming. Results with overall male/female winners will be published on Tuesday 09/08/2020.

WHY WE ARE DOING THIS:

Hurricane Laura has hit hard and people need help!!!!

We are trying to rally support for Texsar (Texas Search and Rescue) who utilize highly trained K9s to help find people in need of rescue and also to find those who were not as lucky. This is a volunteer based organization that helps during catastrophes. We are hoping if we act fast enough it will make a difference. They will be assisting Louisiana as much as possible. 

For anyone that donates $100 or more we will put your company logo on this registration website with a clickable link to your website. 

THE PERKS:

 - Once you have entered in your results you will receive a Finisher's Certificate online via Runsignup. 

 -We will also be raffling off a $25 gift card to Running Warehouse to one of our lucky participants. 

This is an extremely low cost event to join and due to the sudden nature of this disaster we are skipping the bells and whistles.  We will post your videos, pictures and race results. 

100% of the registration fee and donations will be donated to Texas Search and Rescue to assist them with Hurrican Laura disaster recovery.
