Course Description
The swim starts and finishes at Lake Lure Town Beach - directly across the street from the famous Lake Lure Inn & Spa.
This is an out & back 1.5 mile swim course (.75 mi. out - .75 mi. back)
Participants doing the 3 mile swim will do the course twice - actually exiting the water following the first lap - running down the beach about 20 yards and then re-entering the water for the start of lap 2.
There will be 4 orange buoys - participants will turnaround at the 4th buoy.
Start Procedure:
This will be a "Wave" start for both races - meaning that all participants in each race will start at the same time.
The 3 mile race will start at 8:00am (these participants will wear yellow swim caps)
The 1.5 mile race will start at 8:05am (these participants will wear pink swim caps)
These swim caps will be handed out at packet pick-up.
