Course Maps
The LewisGale Salem Half Marathon and Virginia's Blue Ridge 8K courses all start and finish on Main Street at the Salem Farmers Market, where your family and friends will line up the streets to cheer you on while you sprint towards the finish line. We designed these races to encourage everyone to get out and run and also in a way that are spectator friendly. The course was designed for first time runners, who want to accomplish their first Half Marathon or 8K, and for the experienced runner who want to set a new PR. While most of the race is flat, we do have some hills that add some difficulty to the course.
The course will be open for 4 hours and since the course is in segments, we will open up the course for vehicular-traffic throughout the day.
